Sillico is a medieval village in the Garfagnana, located approximately 700 meters above sea level on an Apennine spur overlooking the Serchio Valley. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Apuan Alps and the entire valley.
The Sillico bandits, active in the Garfagnana during the reign of Ludovico Ariosto, were a phenomenon linked to poverty, the weakness of the state, and the mountainous terrain.
